It's all about dark Voodoo and tropical futurism here. Or « V09D09 » like Yes Wizard calls it. A unique take on afro-brazilian rhythms and dark buzzing synthesizers.

Yes Wizard told us this EP was influenced (but not made under the influence!) of a recent Ayahuasca ceremony he attended in the Mata Atlantica forest surrounding his hometown of Ubatuba.

Djamba starts with a 90s house Todd-Terry-style beat before turning into a conga-heavy bleepy anthem, reminescent of DJ Mujava's Township Funk.

V09D09 sounds like a robotic interpretation of Conrad's Heart Of Darkness. Robot turning into Zombies. Man-eaters with metal teeth.

But the most intense piece is yet to come with Aya Dance, a mind-blowing journey through hypnotic drones and simple tribal beats. We dare our DJ friends to play this in a club. Or maybe they should drop some Ayahasca in clubbers drinks beforehand.
